DISTINGUISHED QUILTER COLLEEN WISE TO SPEAK AT AUGUST 5 GUILD MEETING
We are fortunate to have Colleen Wise speak at our August meeting. Because she lives in the area (Puyallup), she will be able to bring a lot of her quilts with her, so this promises to be quite a show. Colleen’s background in science and engineering shows up in her very graphic quilts. She especially likes to create illusions with fabric and discharge techniques (removing the color from fabric). Colleen has exhibited nationally and internationally. She has won many awards for her work. She also teaches, often in the local area. She is a relaxed and gifted speaker who will hold your attention with her well-organized presentation, good stories, and interesting quilts.
 
 Don't forget to make new name badges!

Everyone attending July's meeting got a piece of cloth with their name printed on it, to incorporate into a new name badge. As none of us are getting any younger, and our vision is declining, we thought it would be good to have name badges that would be easier to read. Use these handouts in a badge holder or use your creativity to create a fun and fabulous new name badge. We look forward to seeing what you come up with. If you missed July's meeting, not to worry, your name badge will be available at the front tables at future meetings, along with your new Guild Directory!
